Lajita Allan-Agnew is a Senior Associate practising exclusively in family law. She was admitted as a solicitor in 2013 and has more than 10 years’ post‑admission experience, with the substantial majority of her practice in parenting, property and financial matters.

Lajita acts for clients in a wide range of family law disputes, including complex property settlements (including superannuation, companies and trust structures and high‑value asset pools), parenting matters involving risk and family violence issues, relocation matters, spousal maintenance, child support and binding financial agreements. She regularly prepares court‑ready evidence and submissions and has a strong focus on strategic, well‑prepared negotiation and mediation to achieve timely and durable outcomes.

Lajita is known for her calm and practical approach, clear communication, and disciplined file management. She prioritises proportionality and cost‑effective strategy, with a consistent focus on narrowing issues early, managing disclosure carefully, and preserving the asset pool wherever possible.

Her previous roles include five years as a Summary Prosecutor with the Director of Public Prosecutions (NT), which strengthened her advocacy and evidence analysis in demanding court environments. She also brings a strong property and commercial background, which supports her work in complex financial matters where documentation and practical implementation are critical.

Outside of the office, Lajita enjoys family life with her husband and two daughters, along with Mickey (their English Bull Terrier) and Raja (their overly chatty, loud, blue‑eyed Siamese cat).
