As a Senior Associate in the Litigation Department, Martin Pooley is primarily involved in disputes over Wills, litigation in relation to deceased estates, and commercial disputes.
Drawing on more than 25 years of litigation experience, Martin is particularly skilled in preparing affidavit evidence, conducting settlement negotiations, and appearing at mediations and court hearings.
Martin’s areas of expertise spans disputes over Wills, Family Provision claims, litigation in regard to deceased estates, applications for court made wills, judicial advice applications, guardianship and financial management applications, applications to remove executors, debt recovery, bankruptcy, winding-up applications, preference claims, contractual disputes, negligence claims against professional advisors, defamation, court appearances in all jurisdictions, and minor criminal matters.
Since joining Diamond Peisah in September 1999 (later Diamond Conway) Martin has worked for a range of our clients from large companies such as Perpetual Trustee, The Trust Company, the NSW Trustee and Guardian, and Ingram Micro, to small businesses and individuals.
Prior to joining Diamond Conway, Martin worked in firms which were primarily involved with personal injury claims and mortgage lending.
His qualifications include Bachelor of Laws (UNSW) and Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) (UNSW).
