As a Partner in the Property/Commercial Division of the firm, Ron is responsible for property, commercial and employment matters.
Drawing on more than 40 years of industry expertise, Ron advises in a wide range of areas.
His expertise in property includes the sale and purchase of commercial real estate; commercial, retail and residential leasing and licencing for commercial office blocks, shopping centres and individual shops and premises; lease disputes; strata title and community title matters; easements and other restrictions on real estate; and tax, stamp duty, land tax and GST issues relating to the above.
In the commercial area, his expertise includes the sale and purchase of businesses; structuring; corporate and commercial advising and consulting; trusts, including replacement/change of trustees and variations to trust terms.
His employment law experience spans employment disputes and issues for both the employer and the employee, including advising on issues relating to termination of employment (including redundancy), unfair dismissal, adverse action, discrimination, wrongful termination, drafting and advising on employment contract matters, independent contractor issues and workplace safety.
Prior to joining Diamond Conway, Ron was Partner at Conway Maccallum. Ron was responsible for and worked in the same areas as detailed above. Ron joined Conway Maccallum in June 1980 and became a Partner during 1987.
Ron has a BComm (with merit)/LLB from the University of New South Wales. Ron was admitted to practice on 11 July 1980.
